Personal Emergency Response Systems

Given the choice, most seniors and persons with medical conditions or physical challenges would prefer to live in their own homes and
be as independent as they can. That’s not always possible, but for many, this dream can become a reality with the addition of one easy-to-use communications device.

The PERS-2400 (which stands for Personal Emergency Reporting System) connects to your home telephone line and automatically places a call for help whenever you need assistance, any time of the day or night. Family, neighbors, and/or medical personnel whom you predesignate are notified immediately, so they can respond.A number of accessories make it easy to adapt to different circumstances. These include a wristband, a pocket/belt clip, and a pendant string. Smoke detectors can be added to the system too and there are also special sensors that can monitor activity within the household and notify family and friends if there is inactivity for a specified period of time.

The console can also be equipped with two-way voice communications so that in the event of an emergency you will be able to talk directly with the monitoring center operator until help arrives.
